When individual clients come into my office they have come because they are in a life crisis or transition of some kind. It may be that they feel haunted or overwhelmed by painful events of the past or present. Or they find themselves going through the motions of their daily life with little energy or meaning. They may find themselves stuck in painful relationship patterns or with behaviors they can’t stop even though those behaviors are leading them down a painful or destructive path. In every case their attempts to manage the problem effectively are not working, and the advice of others doesn’t help. Within the first few sessions they start to feel a sense of relief, support, and hopefulness, gaining awareness, understanding, and a sense of new possibilities.

Over my 30 plus years of practice, training and life experience, I have developed a process to help people discover and transform the blocks to continued growth and fulfillment of their goals. I use a mindfulness and body-centered approach, an understanding of attachment, neuroscience, child development, and work with trauma. My work is informed by the cutting edge research and practice in the field of psychotherapy.
